While our products are proudly Made In The USA, all of the raw materials required for production are sourced from foreign countries by our distributors. Â Fabrics, sublimation paper, dye inks, machine parts, sewing thread, etc. are all imported because the United States does not manufacture these types of products domestically at a scale large enough to satisfy the entire apparel manufacturing industry. Therefore, effective Jan. 21, 2025, our prices will be increased by 25% to accommodate for this extensive increase in our cost of goods. WHAT is DYE-SUBLIMATION?

1) HI-RES PRINTING
Dye-sublimation is the process of printing a computer generated graphic onto specialty "dye-sub" paper, then sublimating (aka heat transferring) that graphic into synthetic fabric.

True Threds prints at an incredible resolution of 1200x720 dpi which yields beautiful & vibrant colors, images and gradients that are permanently dyed into the fabric, rather than "painted" on the surface.
Graphics will not fade, wash out or crack. Ever.
2) CALENDAR HEAT PRESS
"Sublimation" is a heat transfer process that involves running both the printed paper and white synthetic fabric through a rolling heat press at a sustained temperature up to 415° (f) and 80 psi of pressure.

This combination of heat and pressure converts the dye-printed graphic from a solid state into a gaseous state and then is absorbed into the fabric, converting it back into its final solid state.
​
This process is completed in under 45 seconds.
3) PRECISION LASER CUT
With one of the only laser-cutters of this kind on the West Coast, True Threds is able to cut any design or file without the requirement of registration marks or preloaded cut files.

We simply load the sublimated fabric onto the laser cutter and our vision-scan system auto-generates the cut files on the fly. This allows for precise, non-stop production and incredibly fast turn times.
4) SEWING
We print, press, cut then sew all our products and have partnered with some of the top sewing shops in LA and OC areas to handle our meticulous and detail oriented products.
